Join us online for BreakPoint 2026
A conference built for resilience professionals, not consulting companies and vendors

A message from Nathan:
I’ve made the decision to postpone BreakPoint 2026 to a later date.
This was not an easy decision, but it is the right one.
The goal of BreakPoint has always been to create a practical, affordable, practitioner-focused conference for the resilience, business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery, emergency management, and risk communities.
After reviewing attendee registration, vendor participation, and the remaining time before the event, I do not believe holding the conference on the current dates would deliver the level of value that attendees, speakers, vendors, and sponsors deserve.
The truth is simple: we did not give the event the marketing runway or operational support it needed. That showed up in ticket and vendor sales.
Anyone who purchased a ticket will be refunded as soon as possible through Eventbrite.
To the speakers, vendors, and early supporters who believed in the idea: thank you. I sincerely hope you will consider coming back when BreakPoint is relaunched with the planning, promotion, and audience it deserves.
This is a postponement, not the end of the idea.
But it is also a lesson learned: two people trying to build, market, coordinate, and manage a full conference part-time is not realistic. Not if we want to do it well.
So, as we regroup, we would welcome help from anyone interested in being part of putting this conference together the right way. That could include speaker coordination, vendor outreach, marketing, sponsorships, event operations, community engagement, or just helping us think through how to make BreakPoint as useful as it was intended to be.
The concept is still strong. The community still needs more practical, real-world, practitioner-led spaces.
We just need to build it with the right runway and the right team.
Thank you to everyone who supported the idea early. More to come.
What is breakpoint?
BreakPoint 2026 is a four– to five-day, fully online global conference built for the people who actually run resilience programs: business continuity teams, risk analysts, IT recovery staff, crisis managers, cyber responders, and small-to-mid-market leaders who never get the spotlight at traditional events.
BreakPoint 2026 will be hosted entirely through Microsoft Teams. Each vendor will have their own dedicated channel and all attendees and vendors will have a minimum of 2 weeks of access to the Teams site.
Built for Practitioners
This conference is designed for people who actually plan, respond, recover, and get blamed when things go sideways.
If you work in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, IT resilience, or risk and you want reality, not theory, then you’ll fit right in.
Practical, usable takeaways
Every session is built around real decisions, real failures, and real constraints.
You’ll leave with approaches you can actually apply—without new tools, new headcount, or a six-figure budget.
Worth Your Time
This conference respects that time and money are limited.
Sessions are focused, discussion-driven, and intentionally designed to be worth stepping away from your day job.
No vendor sales pitches
You won’t sit through disguised product demos or “thought leadership” that ends with a pricing slide.
Sessions are practitioner-led, experience-driven, and focused on what works when plans meet pressure.
Honest conversations
Not everything in resilience is settled and pretending it is doesn’t help anyone.
Expect open discussion, disagreement, lessons learned the hard way, and perspectives you won’t hear at polished conferences.
Fits your budget
Tickets are $300 per attendee.
Discounted tickets are available for students and those currently between roles.
We know professional development budgets aren’t what they used to be. This conference is priced to keep the focus on learning, sharing experience, and building a stronger resilience community, not gatekeeping access.
